FAQ

Common questions

Do I need prior endoscopic experience? +
No — the course is designed to build a solid, practical foundation from open or tubular technique through to full-endoscopic practice. A working knowledge of spine surgery and patient selection is expected.
What does "scrub-in" actually mean here? +
On Day 2, participants scrub in to a live endoscopic case in the operating room alongside faculty. They will learn OR set up, endoscopic equipment, skin markings, needle trajectory, handling of the endoscope, orientation and identify the critical anatomical landmarks.
Why only 3 participants? +
The unique nature of the course in allowing scrub-in live surgery limits the number of participants to achieve the maximum educational benefit.
Can I add extra live OR days? +
Yes — additional live OR days are available after the course at €500/day. Ask the Courses Coordinator about availability when you enquire.
Is the course accredited? +
Yes — the course is endorsed by ESPINEA and accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, carrying 9 CPD points.
What's included in the €2,000 fee? +
